Structural work on foundations – Tower crane foundations

Questions: 7

Tower cranes are usually supported on an isolated footing if they are located outside the plot limit or directly on the raft foundation. There are special treatments required for situations where the tower crane is supported on the ground floor, or when the crane itself is encased in a bracing. The tower crane’s steel support is built specifically for its required levels.

This Form template ensures you to inspect the free height and bracing points which are critical in the foundation of the tower crane. You can also customise it for extra care for checking the bracing system and its temporary supporting systems – from site layout, obtainable reaction forces, stability calculations, reinforcement bars, to formworks.
